The music industry is changing, giving opportunities to artists that never existed before. Hi, I'm Chris, and while we can (and have) tracked everything from full bands to individual artists, we recognize that trends, and budgets, have changed. Perhaps your budget allowed you to track at a commercial studio, but it didn't make sense to have your project mixed at the big studio rates. Maybe you tracked your project yourself in a home studio, but need someone to mix and polish it to sound like a professional recording. Or, perhaps you have the ability to do it all yourself, but don't have the time or desire. That's where we come in. At extremely reasonable rates, we can mix and/or master your project and take it to the next level. You've put so much into your art, let us help you by turning what you started into a commercially viable product that's ready for the masses. History
From it's humble beginnings in the mid-to-late 1990's Portland, OR Punk scene, Variant Audio embraced a DIY ethic early-on. This gave us the ability to focus on the music and creativity of independent artists who didn't have the backing of record labels and their budgets.
